A project or more a day will encourage development and keep stagnation away.

As an experienced Performance Analyst, when Covid-19 hit I became, like many, a remote worker.

This was a complete change in routine and way or working. What I came to realize was that I wasted a lot of time during my usual work day whilst in the workplace and fitting things in (putting washing on, starting dinner, walking the dog on my break, etc.) whilst working from home was a lot more beneficial.

Whilst in the workplace, I was away from my children for over 8 hours so when I reached home, I put the technology away and focused purely on them.

Now I’m hunting for a new job I’ve seen that the regular C.V and cover letter are no longer enough. LinkedIn, Github and your own website are added advantages to your application. I’ve managed to create a LinkedIn account and this (Medium page) will be my own website to produce things. But where to start?

I’ve decided to take a bit of a risk and experiment. I seen the 100 day code challenge recently and thought how far can somebody come by writing a project or more every day and then eventually revisiting it after a year or two.

Maybe some beginners will follow these articles closely so may appreciate the feedback and time saved if this does or doesn’t make a difference.

I’ll start with basic programs I already know, that way if your a novice you can relate a bit more closely, if you have experience feel free to start from where you feel comfortable. I’ll post my code on Github and every now an then create something to showcase what I’ve learnt.

Speak soon…
